Governor Fayose Says He Has No Resentment Over Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo

Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti State

The present governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has made it clear that he holds no grudge against the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo despite his malicious attacks on him recently.

The governor stated that Obasanjo has continuously launched attacks on the Peoples Democratic Party and its members which he is one of them, and this either shows that he may be having some romance with the opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) or he may be looking for a means to undermine the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

He further says that Obasanjo's unguarded comments against him was engineered to get him in a war with him, and that no one should ever blame him as against his sudden release of emotions towards the former President.  He also said that this issue is not a matter of seniority rather  it's all about condemning this unpleasant attitude of Obasanjo over the PDP members.

He therefore charged all PDP members to rise against these challenges and defend the party from the penetration of those who are being used as tools to destabilize the party.
