Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State last weekend hosted the final edition of this year's Cliqfest, the youth-centric education and entertainment initiative of Nigeria’s fastest growing and most innovative telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria.

The two-day programme featured an inspirational session with renowned motivational speaker, Niyi Adesanya;  a five-a- side novelty football match and an exciting  concert headlined by maverick hip-hop artiste, Terry G; "The Enterkraner" Dammy Krane; popular hip-hop artiste Dj Zeez and the winner of the 4th season of Nigerian Idol, Evelle.

Manager, Youth Segment at Etisalat Nigeria, Idiare Atimomo, disclosed that Cliqfest provides an opportunity for strategic engagement with an important market segment and also positions young Nigerians for successful careers.

"At every tertiary institution we visit, we expose students to the business and relationship skills that are crucial for long term success while creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere" Atimomo said.

"This is important to us, because we understand the benefits of investing in human capital, within and outside our company." he added.

In the same vein, the Vice-Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Professor Olufemi Mimiko, observed that Cliqfest underscores the institution's efforts to prepare students for life beyond the University.

"Etisalat Cliqfest has come to AAU at the right  time, as  we are currently expanding the framework and infrastructure for education and recreation at the University, so our students can be balanced and well equipped for the challenges of life." he highlighted.

Laptops, mobile phones, and other amazing prizes were won by many students of the University during the two- day event.

The excitement however peaked   when 25 year old, 400 level student of Physics and Electronics Engineering, Olusegun Adeosi won the grand prize of a brand new car during the raffle draw.

Overwhelmed, Adeosi struggled for words. "I don't know what to say. My own car? Brand new?  I just thank God. I'm so grateful.  I thank Etisalat for this great surprise “he said.

Etisalat Cliqfest, a product of Easycliq, has been to over 50 tertiary institutions in Nigeria, motivating thousands of students with its unique combination of education and entertainment.
